I designed Peony to sail in the Traditional category of the Vintage Marblehead Class of racing sailboats. The boats form is inspired by the full size Sonder Class of sailboats raced in Marblehead, MA and Germany. Specifically Peony was influenced by Nathanael Herreshoff’s 1910 Bibelot and Max Oertz’s 1901 Gluckauf.
